Today Lins was crook with stomach bug so stayed at hotel whilst rest of us went to the World Heritage Site of My Son. This was a religious site which was built by the Cham people between the fourth and 13th centuries. It was tragically partially destroyed by US bombing after the Tet Offensive n 1968. It is being restored under the auspices of UNESCO.
In the evening Lins was well enough to join us to stroll through the Old Quarter of Hoi An which was alight with lanterns and throngs of people enjoying the holiday evening.
Tomorrow we fly to Ho Chi Minh City where we hear the temperature will be in te hgh 30’s with more igh humidity!

Hi Lynne and Garry
Now in Saigon and spent all day at war museums – I was overwhelmed and eternally grateful that I failed my medical when I was called up in the first birthday ballot- I swore then that I would never vote Liberal!!!
Tomorrow we boat up the Mekong River
All the best
