Today we fulfilled a long dream…to come up close with the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx at Giza in Cairo…. here are a few shots which depart from our usual in that they (mostly) feature us oldies with the relics as backdrops! Incidently the one with the camels is not us..we stayed well clear of the smelly things, but they do look good from a distance trekking across the desert. And two bonuses for us, not a huge crowd of people, and the weather was beautiful, unusually warm for late winter in the low 30’s and very low humidity – get contrast to Singapore back in December!

Tomorrow we are off to Alexandria.
