For the last three days we have been journeying down the Nile after flying from Cairo to Aswan. We drove down to Abu Simbel near the Sudan border and then cruised along the Nile to Luxor over two nights. We explored temples at Philae and Abu Simbel as well as at Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna under beautiful blue skies and low 30’s temps.

Below pics are a few samples ….includes a couple of bird shots although they have been a bit of a scarcity (apart from herons, egrets etc – no sacred ibis to date!!)…lots more to come when we get time to get them together!  In meantime it’s off to Valley of the Kings tomorrow……..
