Off to US and Costa Rica

Another trip about to start next week…this time to the US to attend the VDGSA annual Conclave – in western North Carolina. Will be driving down the Blue Ridge Parkway from Washington to near Asheville to the University of Western Carolina. After the conclave we head off to Costa Rica for a week, in search of Trogons and Resplendent Quetzals! Hopefully access to wifi will be okay especially for the Costa Rica part of the journey!

In the meantime, I’ve attached below some birds of our backyard photographed this morning under very cloudy skies…the usual suspects, eastern rosella, king parrots, rainbow lorikeets, crimson parrots, galahs, long-billed corellas, sulphur-crested cockatoo, magpies and bronze-wing pigeon, with a nankeen kestrel which turned up near our Sandy Point shack last weekend.
