Last day in Sri Lanka after a great 2 weeks! A few days were spent searching for birds before we were joined by our friends Rob and Jan Goodfellow from Buckingham when we travelled to many of the outstanding sites around the country including several National Parks and spectacular places. These included Sigiriya and Lion Rock, Dambulla Cave Temples, Kandy and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Nurawa Eliya (Little England) and national parks at Yala and Bundara. We are currently enjoying the last day of our short stay at Galle, in the Portugese/Dutch fort. The horrific 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami memories are still raw here with many memorials and beachside graves.

Tomorrow we fly to Kochi in Southern India to complete our tour. Some photo highlights are posted here, it will take quite a while before most of the photos are sorted and further posts can be expected soon depending on the standard of Indian Wi-Fi !
