Goodbye to Lock-downs!

After coming out of the world’s longest lock-down, we decided that a few days in lovely Chiltern would be a nice way to celebrate! The weather was beautiful, full of late spring sunshine, and we enjoyed revisiting all our favourite birding sites….Bartley’s Block, Honeyeater Picnic Ground, Dams 1&2, etc as well as Lake Anderson where we rented a cabin.

Here are a few of the more interesting birds. Probably the highlight was the encounter with a turquoise Parrot and fledglings at Barkley’s block where we saw one fledgling newly emerged from the breeding box provided by rangers. It was great to get a photo of junior and dad together even though the photo conditions weren’t as good as I would have wished.
