This August we spend two warm and mostly sunny weeks in FNQ, visiting some of our semi-regular favourite birding sights as well as going further North that we had done before.
This started in Townsville (2nd time in two months), then driving north to Mission Beach via Ingham and Cardwell. After that we went up to the Atherton Tablelands, staying at Chambers Lodge, then to Mount Malloy and Cooktown before returning for the last couple of days in Cairns. A total of about 3,500 kms.
This post has rather a lot of photos….it was difficult to trim down to a reasonable size!
