Sailing the Dalmatian Coast

After a few days in Split we were ready to take to the seas in our rented catamaran – the Lagoon 40 “Linda”. We provisioned (food, drinks and luggage) on the promenade in Split and after receiving instructions from the hire company and fuelling the twin outboard motors we set off to find a cove to moor for our first night at sea. Right from the start for our fist night, mooring proved to be the trickiest part of the journey. The competition for ideal mooring sites was quite fierce as there were many similar crafts out there cruising the Adriatic islands! Over the period of the week we mixed between docking on waterfront facilities and anchoring in isolated inlets, each of which had their own special features.

So we spent one night in each of the below places on the islands of Salta, Brac, Hvar and Viz.

The locations were ……Necujam, Salta; Pucisca, Brac; Pokrivenic, Hvar; Vis Harbour, Vis; and Smrka, Brac. Here is a selection of photos taken at each of these beautiful and interesting locations.
